The Moody Hymnal Collection comprises hymnals, songbooks, sheet music, hymnal companions, biographies, and resources related to American hymnody. It is one of the largest collections of gospel hymn resources in the United States.

  • American hymnals, gospel hymnals, and gospel songbooks produced from 1850 to present.
  • Hymnals produced by the Bible Institute Colportage Association, Moody Bible Institute, and Fleming H. Revell Co.
  • A significant collection of hymnals published in Chicago by Root & Cady, Bigelow and Main, Bilhorn Brothers, E. O. Excell, Rodeheaver Hall-Mack, Tabernacle Publishing, Hope Publishing, Singspiration Music, and others.
  • Hymnals connected to Moody faculty and alumni: May Whittle Moody, Daniel Towner, George C. Stebbins, Charles Alexander, Helen Lemmel, E. O. Sellers, William Runyan, Wendell P. Loveless, Donald Hustad, John W. Peterson, Don Wyrtzen.
