Avery D. Weage, a retired minister of the United Church of Christ, lives in Scribner, Nebraska. From 1927 to 1967 he served churches in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, New York and Nebraska. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and the Chicago Theological Seminary. His avocations are writing, music and gardening. He has written three books of poetry and a biography. He was born in 1897, married Ella Dungan in 1926 [ . . . ] Ella passed away in 1962. In October 1963, Mr. Weage married Rickie Thernes, of Scribner.
