Author: Mrs. C. H. M. Hymnal: His Worthy Praise #12 (1915) First Line: Hear the call for reapers Refrain First Line: So send I you Lyrics: 1 Hear the call for reapers, Ringing far and near, Rouse, ye idle sleepers, Harvest time is here; Fields today are bending With the ripened grain, And the Lord for reapers Calleth long in vain. Refrain: So send I you! So send I you For e’en as the Father hath sent me, So send I you! This is the Master’s commission, Unto your trust be true! “For e’en as the Father hath sent me, So send I you.” 2 In the market places Will ye longer stand, While the golden harvest Wastes on ev’ry hand? Heed the Lord’s commission, Go where’er he sends; For the world’s salvation Upon us depends. [Refrain] 3 In the steps of Jesus Follow day by day, Seeking for the lost ones Out on life’s highway; Blood-bought souls are dying, Thrust the sickle in, For the final harvest Precious sheaves to win. [Refrain] Languages: English Tune Title: [Hear the call for reapers]
