As We Go

Author: Rev. W. B. Williams Appears in 3 hymnals First Line: Let us render loving deeds Refrain First Line: As we go, let us pursue Lyrics: 1 Let us render loving deeds, Freely unto him who needs, As we go, as we go; It may save him from despair, And his life may even spare, If we give him tender care, As we go. Refrain: As we go, let us pursue What the Lord would have us do; Let us ne’er a duty shirk, But for souls’ salvation work, As we go, as we go. 2 Let us help the weary soul Burdened down beyond control, As we go, as we go; If we make his burden light, Clear his path and make it bright, It will give us all delight, As we go. [Refrain] 3 Let us others try to save From the dark, untimely grave, As we go, as we go; It may lead them to the Lord, And to heaven’s rich reward, If we speak a kindly word, As we go. [Refrain] 4 Let us tell of Jesus Christ Who for us was crucified, As we go, as we go; Tell how He can save from sin, Make us clean and pure within, How the crown of life to win, As we go. [Refrain] Used With Tune: [Let us render loving deeds]
