I Owe It All to Jesus

Author: Mrs. C. H. M. Hymnal: The New Praiseworthy #19 (1916) First Line: My hope of Heav'n on Christ is stayed Refrain First Line: For me the thorny crown He wore Lyrics: 1 My hope of Heav'n on Christ is stayed, My sins were all upon Him laid, My ransom price He freely paid; I owe it all to Jesus. Chorus: For me the thorny crown He wore, For me the cruel cross He bore; He paid my debt, I'll not forget, I owe it all to Jesus. 2 Life as a lamb to slaughter led, He came and suffered in my stead, And once for all his life-blood shed; I owe it all to Jesus. [Chorus] 3 With groans and tears and agony He suffered in Gethsemane; For time and for eternity I owe it all to Jesus. [Chorus] 4 To claim Him mine I humbly dare, And full allegiance to Him swear, And now proclaim it ev'rywhere, I owe it all to Jesus. [Chorus] 5 My all upon the altar lies - A willing, living sacrifice; Tho' small the gift, He'll not despise; I owe it all to Jesus. [Chorus] Languages: English Tune Title: [My hope of Heav'n on Christ is stayed]
