Rescue Them

Author: E. A. H. Hymnal: Triumphant Songs No.3 #22 (1892) First Line: Rescue them, rescue the souls that are perishing Lyrics: 1 Rescue them! rescue the souls that are perishing, Lingering just on the verge of despair; Hope of salvation their fond hearts are cherishing, Suffer them not to be perishing there. Refrain: Rescue them! rescue them! rescue the perishing, Hear how in pity salvation they crave; Go in the name of the Savior who died for them, Rescue the lost, and the perishing save. 2 Rescue them! rescue the souls that are wandering, Far from the fold of the Shepherd astray, While from his love their affections are sundering; Rescue these wand’rers for Jesus today. [Refrain] 3 Rescue them! rescue the souls that are sorrowing, Sorrowing, sighing because of their sin; Over their pathway the wrath-clouds are lowering, Into God’s kingdom, oh! gather them in. [Refrain] Topics: Missionary; Temperance; Work Tune Title: [Rescue them, rescue the souls that are perishing]
