Oh, It is Wonderful

Author: E. C. Green Hymnal: Revival Praises #62 (1907) First Line: Can it be that Jesus bought me Refrain First Line: Oh, it is wonderful, very, very wonderful Lyrics: 1 Can it be that Jesus bought me, And on the hallowed cross atoned for me, Loved me, chose me ere I knew Him! Oh, what a precious, precious Friend is He! Chorus: Oh, it is wonderful, very, very wonderful, All His grace so rich and free! Oh, it is wonderful, very, very, wonderful, That my Savior so loves me! 2 Praise His name, He sought and found me, Sav'd me from wandering and brought me near; Daily now His grace bestowing, Jesus is growing unto me more dear. [Chorus] 3 It was years He had been waiting, Waiting the dawning of the precious hour, When I should at last be yielding, Yielding to Jesus ev'ry ransom'd pow'r. [Chorus] 4 As I think of all, I marvel Why in such patience He my good has sought, And bestowed His grace upon me, And in my spirit such a change has wrought. [Chorus] Tune Title: [Can it be that Jesus bought me]
