Dominus Regit Me

Hymnal: The Lutheran Hymnal #662 (1941) First Line: The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want Lyrics: 1 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures, He leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul, He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. 7 Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; 8 As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Topics: Chants Scripture: Psalm 23 Languages: English Tune Title: [The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want]

Anonymous

Person Name: Anon. Composer of "DOMINUS REGIT ME" in In Excelsis for School and Chapel In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries.
