We are Singing On the Way

Author: L. H. Edmunds Hymnal: Junior Songs #120 (1892) Refrain First Line: Blessed home! blessed home! Lyrics: 1 We are singing on the way, To a blessed land of day, Where the raptured hallelujahs never cease; We will see its shining towers, Rest within its lovely bowers, In that Edenland of everlasting peace. Chorus: Blessed home! blessed home! In the house of "many mansions," bright and fair; For we'll be like Jesus there, And his glory we shall share, In the house of "many mansions," bright and fair. 2 What though trials here we meet? Soon we'll walk the golden street, Where we'll look upon the beauty of our King; Tears of sorrow here may flow, But "hereafter we shall know," And redeeming love thro' endless ages sing. [Chorus] 3 We are pressing on the way, Let us work, and watch, and pray Winning stars to sparkle in our crowns of light; Let us tell the Saviour's love, Till he bids us come above, Where no shadow ever mars the radiance bright. [Chorus] Languages: English Tune Title: [We are singing on the way]
